CHERNET HAILU This Book presents CHERNET HAILU s thesis (research report) that was submitted in July 2005 to the school of Graduate Studies of Addis Ababa University in Partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Degree of Master of Public Health in the Department of Community Health. The research was undertaken using both quantitative and qualitative methods, from December 2004 to January 2005, in Jimma town Sowthwest of Ethiopia with the aim of describing the levels and identifying determinants of knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) of mothers about VCT and feeding of infants born to HIV positive women. CHERNET HAILU (RN, DMCH, BSN, MPH) is lecturer in Jimma Uiversity (Ethiopia); teaching Epidemiology, and Research methods to graduate and undergraduate students for the last 1 year; had been teaching Pediatric Nursing for more than 10 years. For another 3 years, he had been MCH services provider/coordinator in government health institutions.
