A sound recording producer that takes the initiative and the responsibility of sound recording works has certain exclusive rights recognized by law. This book is a humble endeavor to introduce those exclusive rights of producer with their limitations. But it is common to experience the violations of these rights of producers throughout the country. The general purpose of the book was to inquire in to the causes of the problem for the non-enforcement of these rights. It is found out that the underlying causes for the infringement of the rights of producers are both legal and non-legal. However, it has also been found out that there are changes for the enforcement of the rights of producers. The book offers an authoritative, coherent and comprehensive treatment of the subject, enforcement of producer s rights. Balew Mersha Desta, Lecturer at Bahir Dar University, has got his LLB in 2000 and his LLM in 2007 from Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Law. As of November 2001 he has been serving the University as Department Head, Distance Program Coordinator and Research & Publication Officer. Currently, he is the Legal Officer of the University.
