This books gives an introduction to the development of community groups using a practical approach.The book gives the reader how the Community Practice Model Works and also highlights the vulnerabilities of African groups and suggest safeguard initiatives . In this book the activities of Bolton Multicultural Group (BMIG) are used as a case study .The author also talks about Community Activism in this first chapter of the book.In Chapter Two the author discusses the Social Model of Community Participation focusing on What is Participation in context, Constraints of that can hinder Participation, Empowerment,Partnership Model,Advocacy,identifying Policy audience and Building Coalitions.Chapter 3 discusses the Role of Community Cohesion and Participation of Multicultural Groups in UK.The author talks about cultural Community Cohesion Dynamics of Culture,Cultures and Migration and the National political Commitment of Multicultural Integration Groups (MCIGs).In Chapter 4 the author gives a BMIG´s Development Cycle,its background and how it will make a difference to the people of Bolton and evaluation.
