The book in hand provides the fundamental knowledge of phytohormones [(abscisic acid (ABA), gibberellic acid (GA) and Indole 3-acetic acid (IAA)] applications in groundnut under drought condition. Drought emerged as one of the serious threat to the field crop production especially groundnut in the arid and semi-arid tropics. It provides extremely valuable informations for the groundnut researchers, agriculture students and R & D organizations engaged in boosting up yield and therefore, should be in each agriculture library. The book discusses the base-line informations of phytohormones applications at different plant growth stages of groundnut to minimize the detrimental effect of drought. With the recent emerging threats of global warming and environmental changes, farmer´s concern about the production of field crops, the public sector launch new studies and alternatives approaches to combat the drought menace, this book is timely developed.

Writer worked as scientist in Oilseed, Vegetable and Medicinal herb sections in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Agri. Res. System, Pakistan for more than 22 years. He is breeder of two varieties each in peanut, soybean and cowpea, and Co-breeder of one variety each in rapeseed and sunflower. Now he is working as Asstt. Prof. Hazara University, Pakistan.
