Climate change is one of the recent global environmental problems that are caused by the excessive burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, change in land use pattern and due to the emission of GHGs like CO2, CH4 and NO2 in the atmosphere. Nepal being an agricultural country with more than two third of the total population being involved in agriculture, agricultural cultivation is more vulnerable to the effects of climate change due to less knowledge on the adaptation mechanisms. The Qualitative study done in the Kabre VDC of Dolakha District of Nepal reveals that the rainfall pattern is changing in erratic manner in the study area in recent years. Along with the changes in rainfall pattern temperature of the place is in rising trend in recent 5-6 years, which confirms that climate change is really affecting the study area. Recent change in climate have made the environment favorable for the proliferation of the pests and diseases decreasing the agricultural productivity from the farmland. Due to lack of knoweledge on climate change very few adaptation techniques have been adopted by the farmers to cope with the climate change effects.
