Though education is a complex endeavor that leads learning to occur through all life experiences and to take place in different ways and conditions, in most cases only the classroom practice has been considered as the possible way of learning. The role of extracurricular activities has been suppressed underestimating that involvement in these activities is a source of growth, development and empowerment of life. Thus,this research attempts to assess the contribution of extracurricular activities to the students´ learning behavior in line with investigating practices, successes, challenges and major factors hindering the practice. Reading this book will give the reader a good highlight and image on extracurricular activities in which the students participate while they are in school. The relevance and the benefit that students can get from the practice of such activities are indicated very well with the witness of practical experiences.In addition to assessing both intellectual and psychological bonuses of extracurricular activities,this book clarifies the blurred regarding the role of each stalk-holders in the school; principal, vice principal, teachers and students.

She is a lecturer since the year 2005 being the staff member of teacher education and curriculum studies department in Bahir Dar University, one of the most known universities of Ethiopia. Academically, She has first degree in pedagogical science and master´s degree in curriculum and instruction.
