Lead is one of the toxic heavy metal pervasively found in the environment.It is released from different sources which are in the vicinity to mankind day to day activities.The commonest sources are industries carrying out lead based production or those producing lead as one chemical substances,paints,soldering and others. Humans are exposed to this metal via inhalation,ingestion or seldom dermal penetration.Once the exposure has occurred the degree of the problem varied with physiological growth rate of an individual. Hence, children are the very sensitive to the problem due to their rapid growth. Occupational exposure to lead is the most detrimental route of exposure for the workers handling jobs rendering to the inhalation of lead fumes from their working environment.Among these, garage workers have a likelihood to acquire basic health disorder due to lead intoxication.Having the problem on the workers themselves, ´home take lead´ is devastating to children in the home and other family members.Some of the health problems on adults due to lead toxicology are;impotence, reduced sperm count,kidney failure, rise in blood pressure,Alzheimer,still birth, miscarriage and others.
Yalemsew Adela have got a bachelor degree in Chemistry in the year 2006 and his masters degree in Environmental Technology in 2010 from Jimma University, Ethiopia.He is now a lecturer in the same university in the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering.His research interest is air pollution and human toxicology analysis.
