Nowadays, language anxiety is a pervasive phenomenon, especially among the second/foreign language learning population. Specifically, language anxiety exceedingly influences students´ achievement in the main as they try to improve their speaking skills. It is also attributable to different causes. The sources of language anxiety are communication apprehension, fear of negative evaluation, and test anxiety. The main aim of this book is to show vividly the prevalence and causes of language anxiety among students to the readers. In doing so, the findings of the study in this book exclusively focus on the magnitude of speaking anxiety, the sources of language anxiety and finally suggest ways that help to alleviate the problem. This book, therefore, provides issues related with language anxiety among Level-III students in developing speaking skills in Bahir Dar Technical and Vocational training College. Accordingly, the analysis can pave the way for giving sights for the readers how the causes of language anxiety can be alleviated.
