HIV/AIDS poses a fundamental threat to global health. The African continent particularly the sub-Saharan African countries are the most affected regions of the world. HIV/AIDS situation in Ethiopia has evolved from two reported AIDS cases in 1986. During my clinical practice in Mettu Karl Referral Hospital, I used to see a number of people with diseases related to HIV/AIDS that need a practical intervention. VCT service is an important entry point to both HIV prevention and HIV related care. It gives an opportunity for people to know their sero-status in a confidential manner and also gives an opportunity to link with care and social support group. If VCT services need to be implemented effectively and efficiently, it is essential for program managers to know how VCT sites need to be organized and how much their clients are satisfied. However, there is no study result that can help to improve VCT service delivery in the region. This book explains how VCT sites need to be organized so that VCT service client satisfaction can be improved. Therefore, this book is intended to be used by both program managers and health providers in order to improve VCT services in the region.
