HIV/AIDS pandemic is a global phenomenon. The author of this work observes that concerted multidisciplinary efforts can lead to the control and prevention of spread of the disease. The Education sector has the potential to transmit knowledge and develop relevant survival skills amongst its stakeholders. This book advocates for development and effective implementation of HIV/AIDS education programme in all learning institutions. It focuses on the acquisition of knowledge and development of survival skills that should assist the youth to control the contracting of the disease amongst themselves and curbing its spread. The author, through quantitative and qualitative analyses, establishes that preparations for the implementation of HIV/AIDS education programmme in schools are inadequate. However, during the study, teachers and students held a positive attitude towards the programme because of its informative content. The book recommends that the Kenya government should enhance its financial support for the programme and repackage its content and the implementation process. The book is relevant to teachers, Ministry of Education officials, students, parents and general public.
