People are products of what they value. The current sensitive issue of quality of life depends greatly upon what people value in their life. If they want to live longer, they have to give more weight to health and peace. Family, school, media and culture could either enhance or deter good or retarding values of human beings. Background variables such as personality, social experiences and cultural identities affect our value systems and this in turn influences individual´s social actions, ideologies, attitudes, motives and preferences. Accordingly, the study of values is important to the understanding of culture, socialization, psychological makeup and life- orientations of individuals.
