There are eight millennium development goals (MDGs) to be achieved by 2015 that represent the world´s main development challenges. Out of eight goals, three goals are related to health i.e., reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, and combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases. To achieve these goals we should look health infrastructure whether it is a proper way or are there any drawbacks. It is possible to achieve these goals if our rural infrastructure developed. For this, Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) would be play important roles.Health and illness are the most important issue in the discussion about hospitalization. Layman often says that illness occurs due to curse of God and good health is the blessing of the God. There are number of factors to influences to ailing and hospitalization like Demographic (Age, Sex, residence), Social (religion, social group, and marital status), Household (Structure, source of drinking water, water treatment, availability of latrine, drainage facility and source of energy for cooking), Economic (Education, Activity status and land holding). The diseases (nature of ailments) are also tends to go to hospitalization.
Sarda Prasad has completed M.Phil. in Population studies in 2008 and currently pursuing a Ph.D at The Center for the Study of Regional Development (CSRD), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He bagged his M.Sc. Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in 2005. He has worked as Research Associate, in CSRD, consultant in UHRC, and Data analyst.
