For many decades, the imperial hegemony characterized by feudo-capitalistic form of government was relied on landlord-tenant relation in rural areas. The agricultural sector was usually suffering from a lot with combination of problems emanated from vagaries of nature, population pressure and policies ranging from complete negligence of the era. Following, the overall economic and social crisis with food insecurity and untapped potential resources became the greatest paradox. Moreover, the nonfarm sector had been ignored fully or partially for many reasons. However, due to the global dynamics, the reality led and demanded to move into nonfarm sector as a pivotal element of growth. Within the overall police framework, however, efforts have been made by the government on ensuring food security at household level through interventions in both sectors and change is coming overtime. Accordingly, the book has explored that the sector is indeed an alternative for development and empowerment of gender. Hence, it ignites all investors for this virgin sector. Finally, the book would also serve as input for innovative police makers and development agents.
