Learning is a powerful tool that can be used to boost a learner´s self-awareness and self-esteem. It empowers learners to improve the quality of their life by their own effort. There are individual differences in the way learners internalize, process and remember new and complex learning material. In this book, the author identifies learning styles of students in Bondo District, Kenya. She recommends that educators should help learners to identify their preferred learning styles and plan learning environments and content in ways that are compatible with the learners´ preferences. She observes that learners tend to be Visual-, Auditory- or Kinesthetic-oriented. Therefore, she points out that presenting learning material in methods consistent with the learner´s perceptual preference and age makes a learner more active and ensures learning is more learner-centred. Further, Carolyne recommends that parents provide physical, social and emotional learning environment that stimulates the learner´s perceptual development. This book is resourceful to educators, parents, policy-makers, and the general public.
