Cities are undergoing a profound transformation in their economic basis. The emergence of a knowledge society and of service industries has reshaped the urban fabric in its architectural and social appearance. This book looks at case studies in different cities in Europe to analyse the causes and effects of the post-industrialisation of urban life.
