Christianity involves the most vital interests of every person on the planet: nothing less than their eternal future in happiness or in misery-and so it is vital that the Christianity that is preached and taught is the real and genuine article. Many versions of Christianity abound, some increasing spectacularly in numbers, but are they real? How may we tell? In this excellent book Dr. Bansah leads us to the one infallible measure of the truth-God´s inspired Holy Bible- and proves from Scripture and church history that the current popularity of ´charismatism´ rests on misunderstanding of the Bible, and leads to an evolved and sub-Biblical religion. In Africa, this often leads to a synergistic merging with local cults: pleasing to the people but simply no longer original Bible Christianity, and therefore dangerous to souls. In light of eternity, only the genuine ´old paths´ will do. May this important book be widely read, studied, and believed, and may the great Head of the Church be pleased to use it to reform and revive His Church! Stephen P. Westcott, M.A., PhD., Litt.D., Reformation International Theological Seminary
