Inbali Iserles wurde in Israel geboren. Als sie drei Jahre alt war, zog ihre Familie nach Cambridge, Großbritannien. Ihre Mitschüler träumten von Karrieren als Fußballer oder Sängerinnen, doch sie fühlte sich zu der Welt der Geschichten hingezogen. Da man ihr sagte, man könne als Schriftstellerin kein Geld verdienen, studierte sie Jura und wurde Anwältin in London. In ihrer Freizeit reist sie gerne durch die Welt, sie war im tiefsten Amazonas-Dschungel ebenso wie bei den isländischen Geysiren, sie ist in Neuseeland mit Delphinen geschwommen und in Thailand mit Schildkröten getaucht.
