The purpose of this book is to create awareness and provide decision support information about opportunities that beekeeping offer to farmers and rural communities in terms of incomes generation. The main focus is how beekeeping can be integrated into small farms or set as a main enterprise to increase incomes and enhancing livelihoods. Beekeeping is a helpful programme that has the potential to promote livelihood by giving people opportunities for reliable alternative incomes, reduce poverty through employment creation, provide key inputs for the development of allied industries including the pharmaceutical industries and enhance environmental conservation.

Ayisi Nyarko Daniel studied Agribusiness at Presbyterian University College, Ghana and currently an Msc candidate at Szent Istvan University Hungary. He has worked with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture as an Extension Officer, he has developed several researches and projects to enhance the livelihood of smallholder farmers at rural areas.
