With a selection of 150 works by the Frankfurt photographer Peter Loewy, we examine the extent to which mobile phone photography has changed or even revolutionized the history of photography after almost 200 years. What does it mean if everyone is able at any time to capture passing life photographically? Is it a blessing or a curse for humankind in the 21st century?
We would like to thank Christiane Kuhlmann for introducing us in her text to the manifold approaches to this young topic. We thank Peter Loewy for the idea of this exhibition and of the book, which thanks to Markus Braun of hackenschuh com. design and B.O.S.S. Medien has found a form adequate to the content.
