Simon de Pury began his career at Sotheby´s in 1974. He rose to become chairman of Sotheby´s Europe before reinvigorating the ancient auction house of Phillips, creating a new entity called Phillips de Pury, which challenged the global might of Sotheby´s and Christie´s. Simon lives in London.
