With the resurgence of vinyl going from strength to strength, album c art is as important as it´s ever been. This sumptuous book brings together 250 of the greatest album cs of all time and is arranged chronologically, beginning in 1956. We´ve brought together a 50-strong judging panel selecting the final 250 entries, those judges having been drawn from the great and the good of the music industry. The panel includes famous designers, musicians, producers and record company executives whose reasons for choosing cs accompany the illustration.

Barry Miles, geboren 1943 in Cirencester, England, ist einer der profiliertesten englischen Musikjournalisten. In den Sechzigern war er Mitbesitzer der Londoner Indica Gallery, wodurch er viele Stars der Londoner Szene kennen lernte. Er hat unter anderem die Biografien von Paul McCartney, The Beatles, William Burroughs, Jack Kerouac, Frank Zappa, Charles Bukowski und Allen Ginsberg geschrieben.
