Evaporative effects of water are a recognized alternative to moderate environmental temperatures. The existences of water areas, and the distance to the water body, and the orientation of street axis, are some of the determinants which can influence an urban micro-climate. Together, all these elements can make adjusted living situation in the same city. Currently, we cannot find any other study which considers water body effect and street geometry. This study focuses on the effect of the water, which can lead to cooler areas in urban environments and supply remarkably to the air temperature reduction. The characteristics of the studied area, with a number of very similar streets, will help us to exclude other variables such as materials, the height of buildings, the width of streets and greenery. This study also identifies some further specific elements and design strategies from studies that are worth further investigation.
