This book discusses urban Planning problems. It also discusses the prospects of solution. Critical relationship between architecture and temporality can be first understood in the context of Gaza´s refugee camps, where many houses are built without sub-structure, thus materializing the temporariness of living in a camp until the right of return is acquired. The challenge is more complicated and specific to this context by the fact that Gaza is under a complete siege and the construction material is not easily available in the local market. Therefore the authors believe that for any sustainable form of development in Khan Younis refugee camp can be done thru community participation in the planning and implementation phases. This book examined the general acceptance of upgrading with reference to planning and designing tools for a sustainable camps improvement keeping the right of return in background of each steps. The book sees that Camp Improvement Strategies should called for adoption of the future urban planning, increasing the accommodation capacity of the built-up.
