Although there exists an overall consensus on the importance of conservation and protection of tropical forests the deforestation of tropical (wet) wood is still a huge problem inter alia in Central America. On the other hand the efforts of restoration of ancient agrarian areas increase. For further restoration projects it is inevitable to get to know more about the interactions between different parameters that are influencing the success of restoration and thus reducing the involved costs.
