It has been a pleasure working with Eric Sim on his research through the years. His dedication and tenacity to his work, accompanied with enthusiasm and insight has finally brought the work to a publishable state, for the world to enjoy. I hope you, the reader, enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed working on it through the years. I first met Eric through the University of South Australia and the IGSM, where I was an Adjunct Professor for many years while serving as Acting Dean/Deputy Dean of one of their many campuses. During my appointment as Visiting Full Professor at the Singapore Management University, our children would play together in the park while we pondered calculations of complex data analyses and his wonderful ideas for applying these innovations in what are now well known fields of data mining and data analytics. He is currently completing his doctoral studies at UniSA in the IGSB. Sincerely, Prof. Pardo
