"Throughout its history, Britain´s population has been enriched by successive inflows of migrants, and each flow has made a substantial contribution to the economic, social, political and cultural development of the country." Compared to other South Asian communities in the United Kingdom, the Indian Community is considered as being the best educated, qualified and law abiding. It appears that India has but converted itself into a generic supplier of skills to Britain. In this book we will seek to find an answer to the following problematic: Can we say that the Indian Community is integrated in the British economy? If yes, what are the main factors? We will analyze the positive effects that Indian community brought to UK´s economic growth and innovation. In particular, we will seek to provide evidence of the transformative power that the Indian community wielded on the country´s entrepreneurial and business activity.
After one year spent in Plymouth, in the landmark of her studies, Valence decided to dedicate her master degree´s thesis to the study of Indians & Their Economic Integration within the UK. This subject appeared to be a way of dealing with her own fascination for foreign communities and the way they integrate to a totally different country & culture
