Hardly any name has ever excited lovers of big band music more than that of Bill Holman. Holman became internationally known through his arrangements for Stan Kenton. He has worked closely with Maynard Ferguson and Gerry Mulligan; his takes of the standards After You´ve Gone and You Go to My Head are classics. In the interview with Bill Dobbins, long-time musical director of the WDR Big Band and lecturer at the Eastman College of Music, Holman shares his personal view of Music.
