The present book "Soil Erosion and crop suitability in cold Desert region- Ladakh" has been designed for researchers and students to serve as a key guide in cold arid mountainous region of Ladakh. There is a detailed discussion on the erosion caused by water in the agricultural soils of this region. This book also covers the soil fertility mapping and crops suitable in the cultivated lands of this cold arid region along with references. The book is written in a simple language and even complex concepts have been reduced to easily understandable discussions. The author has attempted to incorporate the recent concepts on the topics without sacrificing the simplicity of language. Annexure on recent precipitation data from the local weather station and soil suitability for each crop has been included in this book.

I obtained my B.Sc (Agri) and M.Sc. (Agri) from SKUAST, Jammu in 2009 and 2012, respectively. I received my PhD (Soil Science) degree from SKUAST, Srinagar. i have selected in maulana Azad National Fellowship and Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship. I cleared ASRB NET twice in 2014. Presently working as JRF at DIHAR (DRDO), Leh Ladakh.
