In an unnamed city, barfly Clark divides his time between drinking, brawling and ignoring his inner demons. That is, until public humiliation twice in one weekend opens his eyes to how much of a punchline he has become. Over the following week, Clark starts to push against his apathy towards life, chasing an elusive girl all over town, getting even with those who have wronged him and forcing himself to change his nihilistic ways until he reaches breaking point.

Price, Grant
Grant Price (b. 1987) is a UK-born writer based in Berlin, Germany. After working as a translator in Amsterdam, Gießen and Wolfsburg, he relocated to the German capital to write full time. His debut novel, Static Age, was published in 2016.
