Since 2006, the German photographer Monika Rittershaus has accompanied the Berliner Philharmoniker and their Artistic Director Sir Simon Rattle at concerts and on tours.
Her photos sensitively show inspiring musical high points, as well as the musician´s quite concentration before performances. We learn in short conversations with them what it means to be a member of this incomparable orchestra.

Monika Rittershaus arbeitet seit 1989 als Theaterfotografin für nationale und internationale Opernhäuser und Theater. Regelmäßige Zusammenarbeit u._a. mit Daniel Barenboim, Sir Simon Rattle, Barrie Kosky, Hans Neuenfels, Calixto Bieito, Christof Loy, Claus Guth. Zahlreiche Ausstellungen und Publikationen.
