In this collection of poetry, we have included Andalusian women´s poetic output, analyzing and commenting on individual poetesses and poems. The purpose throughout is to highlight their major contribution to the enrichment of Andalusian poetic landscape. The aim of this book is to study Andalusian women´s poetry, seeking both to introduce the uninitiated reader to their work as well as offer argument about the location of these texts within the broader context of Andalusian poetry. It is motivated, in the first place, then, by an apparently straightforward agenda: that of making Andalusian women poets more visible in the literary discourse of Andalusian and Arabic literature.

Mourad El Fahli is an assistant professor of Literature and literary theory at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, Sais-Fez. He received his PhD in 2012 from the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, Rabat-Agdal. As for research and interest, Dr. El Fahli works mainly on medieval Andalusian.
