I tried to simplify the contents of this book as much as possible so that non specialist can also understand its message. As a result, I tried to avoid complex statistics and scientific terms. I tried to explain the issue at hand from diverse personal experiences:- 1) As a parent who had jointly manages episodes of childhood diarrhoea with a non medical wife at home on many occasions; 2) As a general medical practitioner who has treated diahhoeic children for many years before retiring to teaching and research; 3) As a specialist and researcher in infectious disease with up to 5 published articles relating to diarrhoea in peer review journals.
