For the first time, the heat transfer is studied in two dimensions in a circulatory fluidized bed combustion i-e. radial heat transfer and axial heat transfer, also the modelling is done for the heat transfer in both directions. Two types of coals are used in the current research, one from the salt range (Khewra) and other from Makarwal. Heat transfer is thoroughly studied and investigated using the developed model.

Dr. Waqar Ali Khan is an expert of coal combustion,CFB gasification and emission control. He has an experience of 17 years in the field of chemical engineering and is serving the NFC Institute of engineering & fertilizer research. He is the first ever Pakistani engineer who designed and operated CFB gasifier at pilot scale using his great research.
