The challenges of such a distinct marriage as theirs were greater than Stephanie and Parthee had ever thought possible. She occasionally regretted not having chosen a white man for her husband. He sometimes missed having the feelings of familiarity a Tamil wife would offer. It took insightful journeys back to their past lives in Australia and Sri Lanka, shocking realities and a family crisis for each to realize their own truths.

Barbara Gunasekaram wurde in 1967 in Australien geboren. Sie lebt seit vielen Jahren glücklich mit ihrem Mann und drei Kindern in der Schweiz. Nebst dem Schreiben ist ihre Hauptleidenschaft Mutter-Sein. Sie liebt ihre Arbeit als Spielgruppenleiterin, die Natur und das Leben. "Vanakkam - Kein Weg zurück" ist ihr erster Roman.
