I want people to start taking mental illnesses seriously.
I want them to listen to sad adolescents.

During my teenage years I began to suffer from several mental illnesses. I started to write my thoughts down, hoping that maybe then, I would understand what was happening. What began as some kind of journal, turned into a collection of poems about loss, control, love and a rough journey to myself.

I publish this book hoping that maybe someone out there will read this and will think ´yes. that´s it. this person does exactly know what i went through. i am finally understood.´

Friedas intention was never to write a book but to talk about mental issues, nobody talks about. She started writing poems in her teenage years. Even though her poetry is very personal, she decided to publish it, in hope someone out there will read her book and feel understood.
