Christoph Faulhabers ( geb. 1972, Osnabrück) künstlerische Aktionen im öffentlichen Raum und andere Arbeiten zeichnen sich durch eine Mischung aus kluger Unverschämtheit und charmanter Penetranz aus; sie sind witzig, intelligent und haben Chuzpe. Er testet dabei die Grenzen zwischen privatem und öffentlichem Raum, lotet fragwürdige Handlungsräume aus und stellt die Funktion von Bildern in neue Kontexte.

Die Monografie bietet erstmalig einen umfangreichen Einblick in das Schaffen des Künstlers. So werden erstmals frühe Arbeiten, wie die Land Art-Performance Schwarzspecht (1995) publiziert, es finden sich Materialien zu den Performances Burberry - Weltweite Musterung (2001) und Mister Security (2005-2007), Darstellungen der medialen und filmischen Arbeiten Jedes Bild ist ein leeres Bild (2014) und Phantom of Punk (2016) sowie Texte und Bilder zur Einzelausstellung in der Kunsthalle Osnabrück.

In his work he tests the boundaries between private and public space, explores questionable fields of action, and establishes the function of pictures in new contexts.This monograph is the first to offer comprehensive insight into the artists oeuvre. Early works, such as the Land Art performance Schwarzspecht (1995), are being published for the first time, and there is material pertaining to his performances Burberry Weltweite Musterung (2001) and Mister Security (2005-2007), as well as to the media and film works Jedes Bild ist ein leeres Bild (2014) and Phantom of Punk (2016).
