´Calcutta Calling and other Poems´ is a collection of 36 poems selected from verses written in between 2014 - 2017. Many of the poems are narratives, while others are my inner feelings - my emotional expressions and few do touch surrealistic format. Poetry is that form of art which bloom in respect to its time, situation and political conditions. Poetry has always remained an experimental which looks into the prism of life through its different shades and color. Hope you will enjoy reading.

Shyamal K´ Das was born in the year 1956. He started writing poetry at an early age of sixteen and hasbeen writing ever since. His poems were published in several journals and many other Face Book pages.He is an author of three novels and a collection of short stories. ´Calcutta Calling and other Poems´ is hisfirst poetry book.
