The aim of this thesis is to familiarize with spatial location of baking industry in the Presov region, the craft of bakery itself, to acquaint with the history of the craft of bakery in Slovakia and also explain the significance of milling in bakery production. The bakery craft has been practiced on our territory for ages. It has always been one of the most prominent and important crafts, primarily because of its primary function, the livelihood of the population. It has a rich tradition and its rightful place within our territory. Milling had a crucial impact on its development, which also belongs among our traditional crafts. The bakery craft could not function without the milling craft; therefore, it is essential we mention it in our work. Bakery as such ranks among the food industry.

Následne som sa tejto problematike venoval aj pri písaní mojej diplomovej práce. V súcasnoti autor tejto publikacie studuje na doktorandskom stúdiu na spomínanej fakulte.
