This research will be focused on tattooed people in Turkey. The idea is to get a better understanding of Turkish people who have tattoos and problems that they face because of their tattoos. They are usually misjudged because of their tattoos and are labelled as ´´Freak, problematic people´´ or they got that tattoo just because he or she needs attention. I would like to focus on the kinds of encounters that they have in daily life. According to my interviews and literature review. 4 big chapters came up for the tattoo owners, which are; religious factors, cultural dilemmas, problems in worklife and gender differences. In this research, a narrative interview technique was used. I did this because I wanted to portray the peculiarity of the cases which plays a crucial role in psychotherapeutic context. I also tried to understand the real meaning of their tattoo and tried understand it as personal expression relevant also in psychotherapy. So far, there is not a lot of research was done about this topic in Turkey, this will be one of the first studies which connects psychology and tattoo.
