The Strategic Human Resource Management is regarded as a source of sustained competitive advantage, which requires an integration of the overall business strategy and the HRM. The overall direction of an organization is focused by the SHRM, in pursuit of the organizational goals and objectives. The current research study explored the case of Strategic HRM, which is a source of competitive advantage for an organization. It discussed the notion of SHRM from a Resource-based view, and focused on the analysis of employee performance and customer satisfaction at Casino Merkur International. The first objective of the study is to examine the role of Strategic HRM in creating completive advantage for an organization. The study followed a review-based strategy, i.e. performed a literature review to evaluate the related research question. According to the review, the concept of Strategic HRM serve a source of competitive advantage. The notion of Strategic HRM is considered as a complex system, with consists of a number of characteristics: vertical integration; horizontal integration; effectiveness; and partnership with non-HR professionals.
