Hindsight bias is well known as an impression of having already known beforehand about an outcome of an event, after receiving the actual outcome information (Fischhoff, 1975). There has been a lot of research on hindsight bias, with some approaches, for instance, focusing on individual difference variables such as expertise. The present study´s aim was to show that expertise, consisting of knowledge and self-presentation, has a joint impact on hindsight bias. In detail, knowledge was expected to decrease and self-presentation to increase the bias.
