Teacher performance in the contemporary world is a global concern among the education stakeholders. Whenever national examination results are released reflecting contemptible studentsī outcome; parents, politicians, and all education stakeholders castigate Teachers for pitiable studentsī academic outcome. Conversely, teachers quote repugnant myriad feeble motivators in their job. The teacher requires enabling environment to be able to unbolt all their capacity to effectively perform their professional teaching duty; decent accommodation near school, recognition from authorities, promotion can influence the teacherīs frequent attendance and studentsī academic performance. This study therefore, sought to investigate the relationship between motivation and Teacher Performance in Secondary Schools in Bukedea District - Eastern Uganda. The t-test statistics for Non-monetary, Monetary motivators and Teacher Performance showed the p-value for all the items to be 0.000 indicating a statistically significant difference from the mean agreement revealing a significantly strong positive relationship between the hypothesized variables and constructs of this study.
