The schools are created to provide people with quality education in response to the needs of societies. The main goal of DRC education system is to guarantee learning success to 100% of children enrolled in schools. The school management is one of a strategy to achieve this objective. However, the management of DRC school resources is inefficient. This conditioned some school in failure (bankruptcy). Over 217 private schools were surveyed on bankruptcy or failure in the Educational Province of Kinshasa-West between 2007 and 2012 in DR Congo. This particular situation needs to be studied. This mixed methods study with triangulation allowed collection and exploitation of two types of data separately. The qualitative data made up by the archives documents of the 140 schools. The quantitative data collected by survey (questionnaire) with 420 actors from these private schools respectively ex-schools´ promoters, ex-teachers and ex-schools´ principals. This sequential exploratory mixed method study describes briefly some determinant factors of failure and categorize, classify and describe the characteristics of life cycle stages of these private schools.
