This book examines how Hymenoptera venom allergy affects quality of life issues and the management thereof in the digital age. This research makes a useful and important contribution to understanding the psychosocial issues surrounding Hymenoptera venom allergy. It remains a challenge to disseminate information about the issues affecting Hymenoptera venom allergy patients worldwide. It is suggested that the impact of biphasic reactions in allergic patients has severe implications for the subsequent mental health of individuals. This study provides useful signposts and implications for practice. It asserts that the study of forgetfulness, and how social media can help ameliorate this human trait, should receive more attention. Perhaps the most profound recommendation for change in clinical practice is the knowledge now that text messaging is being used on a far larger scale than previously appreciated. It appears those in clinical practice may be able to extract more information via social media than they are doing at present.
