Humor and laughter imply a social relationship, a connection between self and other, but there must be a distinction between humor and laughter. The fact that humor is a part of daily life conversation makes it an important field of research. In the present era, one of the source of entertainment for people are memes that are commonly found on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. These internet memes tackles various topics such as political, education, society, language, and our everyday-life. A meme generally has a photo of someone´s facial expression, a screenshot of a movie, or a thing that everyone is familiar with, that usually has one or two sentences as a caption or a punch line. Memes are found humorous when the punchline and the photo are akin with each other. According to Raskin´s General Theory of Verbal Humor, there are six knowledge resources that contribute to build humor: Script Opposition, Logical Mechanism, Situation, Target, Narrative, and Language.
