The history and civilization of ancient human started with the invention of writing system. An attempt to express thoughts, record anecdotes, and communicate with others led to the formation of signs that are called the alphabet. Today, the root of many of the events that occurred at the emersion of the writing system remains unknown. In the history writing improved and became as an art. Especially in Islam culture writing art is really important. In this contents; writing language improve itself from the time of stones era to modern era and modern architectural time. Writing language styles, which ones;used for documentary and recording; changed in history with cultural affects and started to used as a different decoration elements. Because of the fact that writing became as a really important element of architecture.

Tavsan, Cengiz
Cengiz Tavsan was born in Trabzon on 1967. He graduated from Architecture department of Karadeniz Technical University in 1989. He finished his master degree in 1993 and finished his Phd. Degree in 2000. In 2010 he became Assist. Prof. and in 2013 he became Associate Profesor. Still He is working for Karadeniz Technical University.
