Use of long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) is one of the key strategies for prevention of malaria as recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). LLINs are estimated to have a three-year serviceable life span. This book presents experiences from a cross-sectional survey that assessed the durability of LLINs distributed in Makwangwala area of Ntcheu district in Malawi in order to understand how long-lasting insecticidal nets or LLINs last under field conditions. The status of current net fabric integrity, survivorship and loss in the previous three years in the context of planning for future net distribution to try to achieve universal coverage and provide personal protection to malaria infection.
