The study of legalogy has become more important than it has always been. Legal decisions are having a more prevalent effect on how scientists and engineers conduct their research and design activities, just as science and engineering are increasingly present in the courtroom. There are a number of ways in which legal decisions form part of scientists´ daily existence. It provides a forum for lawyers and judges to consider the legal, political and social problems that will continue to arise as scientific and technological changes challenge our existing laws and legal institutions. It explores the effect of advances in science and technology on law and society. Legalogy exists to enrich the discourse at the nexus of science, scientific methodology, technology, biotechnology, bioethics, health, public policy, and the law. The focus of legalogy is preparation for practice at the highest level of law´s intersections with science and technology. It is to raise professional understanding and public awareness of technical and ethical challenges. Finally, it is to contribute to the international exchange of ideas in the field of law, science, and technology.

Edeko, Sunday
Sunday E. Edeko is a Professor in the Faculty of Law, Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma Nigeria, where he teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses. He possesses the qualifications of LL.B., Master of Laws degree and a Doctorate degree in Strategic Studies. He is the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma Edo State Nigeria.
