Empowerment of women and the improvement of their political, social, economic and health status is a highly important end in itself. Empowerment is a tool to overthrow the existing gender inequality especially on the developing world. Besides, NGOs have proved to have the potential to facilitate the process of empowerment among women. Hence, this book will be helpful to show the most effective method of women´s empowerment scientifically.

I have BA degree in economics and MA degree in gender and development studies from Haramaya University and Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia, respectively. I have worked at different governmental organizations as well as multilateral organization like UNDP at different positions. Now, I am working at ECWC as a senior economist.
