This work is meant to demonstrate how the gifts of a manager can be shown (through policy development work especially) to achieve a fair balance between the potential for success and the conflicts inherent in a given situation. Such management skills influence the delivery of a solution, the quality of final outcome and the satisfaction for those who were seeking a solution. Managers in any business context - in Australia or elsewhere - devise and lead solutions to resolve much the same challenges and rely therefore on similar and at times, identical skills.

Dr. Stephen Kendal studied management at universities in Sydney and Canberra. His experience included the Australian public sector and as a lobbyist, for over 40 years specializing in education and industry policy development. His work placements equipped him not just for business leadership roles but also to resolve central political questions.
